Welcome to The Bay Sedation and GA courses – training courses dedicated to nurses who assist with dental treatments under sedation and/or GA.
All sedation training courses are accredited by The Intercollegiate Advisory Committee for Sedation in Dentistry (IACSD) and comply fully with the Standards for Conscious Sedation in the Provision of Dental Care. Students may complete inhalation, intravenous or both techniques as part of their course.
The Level 3 Certificate in Dental General Anaesthetic Nursing is designed for dental nurses who regularly work in hospital departments assisting with patients having treatment under general anaesthesia.
Certificate in Dental Sedation Nursing (Level 3)
Students may complete this programme providing evidence of working with intravenous techniques, inhalation techniques or both. All techniques will be taught and examined. Practical evidence can be provided for the relevant technique only. This course is accredited by the IACSD.

An additional fee is applicable for students completing one technique and returning at a later date to complete the other.
Certificate in Dental General Anaesthetic Nursing (Level 3)
This course is aimed at dental nurses who work with patients undergoing treatment under general anaesthetic and who wish to improve their knowledge and understanding of this patient group.
